Daytime Class/Morning 09:00 – 13:00
The day begins when everyone arrives at Maliwan cooking school.
First on the agenda is a journey by Tuk-Tuk to the local fresh produce market.
After learning about vegetables, Thai herbs, coconut milk, jasmine rice, etc. and
purchasing what we may miss for the days’ cooking lessons, we head back to the school
and take a short break with a ‘welcome drink’.
Next up is the first cooking demonstration. The instructor will prepare 2 dishes
while the class observes. Full instruction will be provided with plenty of opportunity
to ask questions.
We will then move to the stoves and get cooking! As we create our first 2 dishes
we will get lots of assistance and tips to ensure that our Thai cuisine is just
as it should be.
Now it’s time to eat!! We will move to the dining area and enjoy the dishes we prepared
in an informal atmosphere. After eating we can take a little time to relax before
heading back to the demonstration room.
While we watch the next 2 dishes being prepared, we can learn more about the technique
of Thai cuisine.
After the demonstration it will be “all hands to the cooking stations” to prepare
the final 2 dishes of the day. Then it’s time to dine once more!
After enjoying our culinary creations and a leisurely chat, we will receive our
personalized certificates.
It will be time to say goodbye or ‘Sawasdee Ka’ until the next time.
